My Story
I'm one of those people that got bitten by the pickleball bug really hard. I was never particularly interested in sports growing up, so I didn't expect to become as passionate about the game as I have become. My first time playing was with my cousins at an indoor club and it was a perfect combination of hilarious people and an easy to learn and enjoyable game. I come from a family of board game lovers, where we have made lifelong memories playing together. I found the same dynamic as we played pickleball, laughing, learning and growing together.

As a dad of five young kids, I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to find wholesome and worthwhile activities for them to do. The story of Pickleball's creation resonated with me because like Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum, I just want my kids to have great memories and great fun. Pickleball was made to do that very thing. While as a sport it has grown far beyond those humble beginnings, at its core it is a game made by dads like me for families like mine. Its a game for everyone.
I'm immensely driven and passionate about my family, my work, and my faith. Pickleball and this Family Pickle venture are a combination of my passions, expertise and desire to serve our community. My hope is that this club can be a strong contributor to Austin, a partner to the many other great organizations here, and a mechanism for creating lifelong cherished memories for both my family and yours.
Yes, that is me attempting to play while holding my youngest daughter. I promise, no kids were harmed, just my pride.
